It's Finished!

I finished working on my LOST-themed quilt! And I'm very proud of it. I included a lot of pictures in the post because I wanted to show you all the images I used. There are 96 "moments" and 48 "character" images plus the center logo.

The center of the quilt symbolizes the survivors surrounded by water since they're on an island. I quilted undulating lines to indicate the feel of water.

I quilted leaves in this border which, of course, symbolizes the jungle. I put the octagon shape in each corner.

Here are the major LOST characters from Seasons 1 -4

The moments from Season 1 -4 are on sand-colored fabric to symbolize the beach.

Incredible Maven! Now what are you going to do with it?

Memphish: Gosh you're quick! I do plan to show it at my Quilt Guild meeting this week. And I'm thinking of entering it in our annual Quilt Show next May! Other than that...I'll probably hang it in my quilt sewing room and bask in it's glory! LOL

Nice job Maven! In the long shot, all the samll images look like pebbles or rocks on the beach. :-)

Thanks, Capcom! I know...it's hard to do the overall quilt justice with my limited camera skills! That's why I took so many close-ups of the images.

I enjoy see all these great comments! Thanks to everyone for checking out my quilt!

Good grief Maven, that's amazing. What an extraordinary amount of time and effort that must have taken. Well done!

Bonnie,

Your quilt is FANTASTIC! AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! It had to take a huge amount of time and planning!

Beautiful!

No wait, I meant that in an artistic way, that they look like rocks on the beach. I was wondering if that was the effect that you were going for, because it makes it look even more beach-like. :-)

Capcom: I didn't take it in a bad way. I thought the same thing trying to take an "overall" pic! It was not intentional. In person it comes off much better. I'll have to take it on a tour around the country so each an every one of you can see it in person! LOL (I wish!)

Truly, Maven, this is a work of art, as well as a work of love. You are amazing.

Congrats on a job well done, sweetie.

Applause!

The pics on the sand-colored fabric also looklike postcards on a beach, which is also appropos! Really neat. :-)
